Hamdard Naunehal Assembly, Peshawar, February 2004

Hamdard Naunehal Assembly, Peshawar was organised on 11th of February 2004 at Nishtar Hall Peshawar. Deputy Nazim-e-Aala of Peshawar City district

Dr. Mohammad Iqbal Khalil was the chief guest, while Host was Mr. Iftikhar Zarif, Principal of Benevolent Public School and College.

Topic of discussion was "Sense of duty and handwork are the key to progress and welfare".

Proceedings of the assembly started with the recitation from Holy Quran by Aamna Ehsan of Iqra Jannat-ul-Atfal School. Naat was presented by Gohar Nayab of Govt. Girls Higher Secondary School, Dibgury, while students of Pakistan International Public School, Sethi Town sang a national song.

Speakers delivered speeches on the topic and said that we must keep in mind the mission of Shaheed Hakim Mohammed Said, who was a firm believer of the motto, that only hard and devoted work and sense of duty can lead you to progress.

In the elocution competition Sehar Husain of Warsak Model School and College got first prize, while Sanam Nadeem of Zareef Memorial School got second prize. Children of PAF Shaheen College presented tableau, students of Pakistan International Public School, Sethi town performed in a skit. Programme concluded with Dua-e-Said presented by students of Muslim Cambridge Public High School. .

Shura Hamdard, Peshawar, February 2004

Monthly meeting of Hamdard Shura, Peshawar was organised at Hotel Pearl Continental. Shura was presided over by speaker of Shura Dr. Abdul Mateen, while Deputy speaker Dr. Ms. Barkat Awan also attended the proceedings. Topic of discussion for shura was ""Role of Police need of reforms"

Guest speaker was Mr. Farooq Ahmad Jan Babar, Senior Superindentant of Police, Peshawar. Proceedings of the shura started with the recitation from Holy Quran by Col.® Hameed Afridi. SSP Peshawar elaborated the role of police and need for reforms. He said the new police order will definetly improve the image and working of police to some extent.

Others who expressed their views in shura included Dr. Abdul Mateen, Mr. Akmal Naeem, Mohtarmah Shameem Akhtar, Hameed Afridi, Dr. Nasiruddin Azam, Mr. Ghulam Rasool, Mr. Zaigham, Dr. Salahuddin, Justice Burhanuddin, Mian Akhtar Shafi, Haji Adeel, Mr. Farooq Azad and Mr. Mohammad Nawaz.
